About
Your Trusted Advisor
At CAVOK Advisory, we guide companies through the complexities of transfer pricing and international taxation with strategic clarity and technical excellence.
Why "CAVOK"?
In aviation meteorology, CAVOK stands for "Ceillings And Visibility OK". It’s used to signal clear skies, no major weather disturbances, and good visibility - ideal flying conditions with no looming storms or clouds on the horizon.
At CAVOK Advisory, we’ve adopted this term as both our name and guiding philosophy.
Just as pilots rely on CAVOK conditions for safe and confident flying, our clients rely on us to bring clarity, stability, and foresight to their transfer pricing and international tax matters. We help businesses move forward without fear of unexpected compliance issues, unresolved tax disputes, or increased tax risks on the horizon.
Our Mission is Simple
To create “clear skies” in a complex tax landscape delivering expert guidance, full visibility, and peace of mind at every stage of your business journey.
Why work with a boutique tax advisory firm?
As a boutique firm, you get direct access to senior expertise with the attention that you deserve. We believe that high-quality, senior-level tax advice shouldn’t be reserved for the largest companies with the biggest budgets, nor should it only be sporadically. Whether you’re a fast-growing startup, a mid-sized business, or a global group, you deserve clear, experienced guidance - without staggering fees or unnecessary complexity.
We keep it simple and focused:
-
Direct access to senior expertise, without layers of hierarchy.
-
Transparent pricing and flexible scope, minus the corporate overhead.
-
Independent, practical, and actionable advice, without unnecessary complexity.
We're here to help you move forward with clear skies.

Our founder, Daniel Hvam Poulsen, brings over a decade of Big4 experience in international tax and transfer pricing, having advised multinational groups across compliance, dispute resolution, post-merger integration, business model design, and global expansion. His work combines deep technical expertise with a practical, business-oriented mindset.
From complex global compliance projects to driving tech-enabled transformation and strategic advisory, his focus has consistently been on delivering quality, value, and solutions that work in practice - not just in theory.
Educated at Aarhus University, the London School of Economics, and Columbia University, he brings a strong economic foundation, technical insight, and hands-on execution to every engagement.
By the way, did we mention that he is also a pilot - and that he loves to talk about it if he gets the chance. Clear Skies!
